From Palermo by train to discover Agrigento, notorious city in western Sicily and location of an archaeological site unique in the world, listed in the UNESCO world heritage list.
After an exciting journey through the monumental and panoramic patrimony of the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples, the tour continues to the splendid Scala dei Turchi, a beautiful monument made of calcareous rock rising from the sea.
TOUR STEPS
- 08:15AM Arriving at Palermo Central Station.
- 08:43AM Departure of the train.
- 10:47AM Arrival at the Agrigento central station and meetup with the driver, transfer to Valle dei Templi
- 11:00AM Meeting with the guide and visit of the Valle starting from the Tempio di Giunone, through the Via Sacra and the paleochristian necropolis and arriving to the Tempio della Concordia, one of the most well preserved temples of the Greek world; moving on, visit of the Tempio di Ercole, the ruins of the Tempio di Zeus and the Tempio di Castore e Polluce, symbol of the city.
- 02:00PM Transfer to the monumental Scala dei Turchi, a World Heritage site and true sculpture made of white limestone marl that rises from the Mediterranean Sea.
- Free time at the beach.
- 04:30PM Transfer to Agigento central station.
- 05:15PM Departure of the train to Palermo.
- 07:17PM Arrival at Palermo Central Station.
- Transportation by car or minivan with driver in Agrigento;
- Train tickets (regional train, seats can not be assigned) from Palermo to Agrigento Centrale and return;
- Visit with professional guide of the Valley of Temples (2h).

- Entry ticket to the Valley of the Temples;

The rate of the tour is for a minimum of 3/4 people. In other cases the following rate per person will be applied:
